Front Office Vision
Problem
Stop me if you have heard this before, but the San Francisco
Forty Niners front office is having a vision problem.
They are not on the same page.
They have conflicting agendas.
They are mired in petty in fighting.
Don’t just take my word, read all about it from Tim
Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News

Does that surprise the old
Rude Dude?
Not at all.
This is exactly what one can one expect when
Dr. Pork is in charge. This is not something new. This
has been on going every since El Blabo
took over this once mighty organization.
Once again the specter of the
non-football guys – Terry Tumey and Paraag Marathe
– backed by York
are at odds with Coach Nolan and Scot McCloughan. So
who makes the last call?
And look at the search for the new (whatever the title will
be) El Supremo and the differing descriptions and visions of that job
from York
and Nolan. Hey gang, how about we get
together and write down a job description so we are all on the same
page. Better yet, how about an
organizational flow
chart. That way, everyone knows who
reports to whom, and who is really in charge.
This lack of leadership falls
directly on
Dr. York.
Many will argue the merit of needing a strong front office. I
will just point to Carmen Policy's tenure. To quote Ira Miller:
"Probably the smartest man in the league during his years as the 49ers'
president. If you doubt the value of strong front-office leadership on
a sports team, just look at the mess the 49ers have become in the years
since he left for Cleveland."
But this is nothing new.
The question still remains, is
Dr. York
here for
victories, or is he here for profits. In
2004, he demonstrated he was here just for profits.
The Forty Niners were 26th in
revenue, but were 7th in Net Income*, while being the worst team in the
NFL. That
is staggering.

This is exactly what we here
at
Dump York
are fighting against.
But hey, you can keep your
head in the
sand and believe that some how it will all work out or you can start
resisting his terrible ownership. Make your own shirts.
Make your own stickers. Call
KNBR. Don’t buy his tickets. Don't
buy his merchandise. Just don't believe in him.
