Why
Dump York stay active
I have received a
few emails
over the past few weeks stating that Dump York should go away.
Frank (Rizzo) from
NYC wrote:
“You are all a
bunch of
idiots. You couldn't run a little league team, let alone a professional
franchise.........get something better to do with your lives. I am a
life-long
Jets fan.....you don't see me bitching, you cheer for your team or you
don't.
If you hate the 49ers then stop going to the games and adding money to
them...........i can see from your pictures you could all stand to lose
a
couple pounds...go for a run on sunday afternoons instead.”

These, along with
some other
brilliantly written emails have been received expressing that we should
end Dump
York. To them I say; we are here for the
long run.
While we agree that
Dr. John York has taken some very positive steps over
the last few
months, it has only been a few months. Let
us not forget that the Forty Niners
organization, under Dr. John York's leadership, had turned into the
laughing stock of
the NFL. Does anyone remember Terry
Bradshaw calling John York a “joke” on
national television in January? I
certainly do.
So please
understand that we
will be here for the long run. We are here
to remind Dr. York of the promises that he has been making. We are here so that 49ers' fans can express
their
opinions without fear of being banned from the discussion board. We are here so that the bay area journalist
can use us as a platform to ask uncomfortable questions of the Niners
Organization. We are here because KNBR
will now become the
mouth piece of the Forty Niners, not of the fan base.
We are here so that we as fans can keep the
faith.
If we do win a
Super Bowl
under John
York
ownership, we at Dump York will be the first to congratulate
and celebrate. Then, and only then, we
will go away.
As for the “weight”
comment
by Frank, my wife completely agrees about running on Sunday, and on
Monday, and
on Tuesday…….
