Nothing but
Disgust
There is nothing but disgust in my heart,
soul, and stomach after watching Sunday night’s debacle. Disgust and
shameevery bit as bad as it was last season. What in the world
went on on that field is completely beyond me, but it wasn’t anything
like professional football, that’s for sure.
We played so poorly; we actually managed to make the lowly Cardinals
believe they could play football. Did you see how fired up Josh McCown
was? Can’t blame him, I suppose…I’d be fired up, too. Especially if the
only team the Cards managed to beat last year was us…and here was
history repeating itself.
We just seem to be ringing the dinner bell over and over--the message
to the rest of the NFL from the Niners seems to be “Come and get us.”
Never have I seen a set of so-called players just line up to be a hot
lunch for whoever is on the schedule that day.
Rattayweak, completely ineffective, utterly without leadership,
and
seemingly able to screw up a cup of coffee. O line-what O line?
Barlow? Don’t even start…Alex Smith did well, considering what was
handed to him, but there is no reason why he should be pressed into
service at this early stage-desperate times call for desperate
measures, I suppose.
My heart goes out to poor Bryant Young, the one real warrior on this
team that doesn’t seem to have any quit in him anywhere. He must wake
up in the morning wondering who he has to screw to get off this team.
I’m afraid this is it, friends and neighbors. This is what we have.
Another long season, steeped in mediocrity. I continue to marvel at the
fact that the present owner was handed a silk purse, managed to turn it
so quickly and so completely into a sow’s ear, and now shows no
interest in doing anything about it.If he had a smallest clue about the
game and/or the team, he'd hang his head. But he doesn't. It’s time for
him to take a long walk off a short pier and give someone else a shot
at fixing this debacle.
Take a hike, Dr. York
