I am proud to announce the first ever DumpYork.com mock draft. Let’s be honest, nobody know what the heck is going to happen, but it is fun to speculate. So, I am pretty sure I will nail the first pick, after that…. I might not get another one right.  LOL. Anyway, here is my first attempt at a mock draft. But first, my Niner thoughts:

With three picks on the first day, the Niners basically need help everywhere. I like the idea of two first round picks and we can get a quality guy at 22, but having the extra first day pick have been more important. Anyway, if I am the Niners, I would get an offensive player and defensive player in the first round. Right now it plays out to get Vernon Davis. If two QBs go in the top 5, then someone will slide be it D’Brick, Hawk, or Williams. I would take any of those three above Davis. If we go Davis at 6, then at 22 I come back with best available defender. There are some good DBs out there at the bottom of this first round. Allen, Hill, Whitmore, Wiliams, to name just a few. If a guy like Chad Greenway or Ernie Sims slides, I would be all over that. And if Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes are still on the board, you would have to take a serious look at them. In the 3^rd round, I think the Niners have to go WR unless they grab one in the first. A guy I like if he is still there is Maurice Stovall from Notre Dame. But while there are not a lot of highly rated WRs in the top of the draft, there seems to be good depth for the 2^nd and 3^rd rounds. They need at least one WR out of this draft, I think 3^rd round makes sense. 4^th-7^th rounds as always, just fill out the roster.

With all that said, here is the mock draft.

1. TEXANS	REGGIE BUSH, RB, USC	Duh
2. SAINTS	D’BRICKASHAW FERGUSON, OT , VIRGINIA	Still not convinced NO will pick 2, but as good as Williams could be, if I just paid my QB $10-mil, I’d find some blocking for him.
3. TITANS	MATT LEINART, QB, USC	Brass wants Young, coaches want Leinart. This time, coaches win.
4. JETS	MARIO WILLIAMS, DE, NCst	Jets will look QB later in the draft.
5. PACKERS	AJ HAWK, LB, OSU	I’d love for him to slip to 6.
6. 49ERS	VERNON DAVIS, TE, Maryland	I know most on this site love this guy. I am not sold on the TE position. But hopefully it works out. Niners could also shock us by drafting Huff here. Trading down to #10 with AZ would not be a bad deal.
7. RAIDERS	VINCE YOUNG, QB, Texas	This pick makes no sense to me, which is why Alice will make it.
8. BILLS	WINSTON JUSTICE, T, USC	3 Trojans in the first round.
9. LIONS	BRODERICK BUNKLEY, DT, FSU	After 3 straight years drafting WRs, Millen will finally go D.
10. CARDINALS	JAY CUTLER, QB, Vandy	I know Green wants to win now, but how can he pass on the QB of the future. With Warner as your starter, the future will probably be late this year.
11. RAMS	HALOTI NGATA, DT, Oregon	Martz is gone, to win the west, got to stop the run
12. BROWNS	ERNIE SIMS, LB FSU	Romeo is all about D.
13. RAVENS	MICHAEL HUFF, DB, Texas	Ray Lewis will be pissed the big DTs will be gone.
14. EAGLES	SANTONIO HOLMES, WR, OSU	Got to replace TO. Chad Jackson could go, but personally I like Holmes better.
15. BRONCOS	CHAD GREENWAY, LB  Iowa	RB, WR make sense here, but I think they go D in the first round.
16. DOLPHINS	ASHTON YOUBOTY, CB, OSU	Fish need to bolster the secondary.
17. VIKINGS	JIMMY WILLIAMS, CB, Vtech	The run on defensive backs is on
18. COWBOYS	JASON ALLEN, S, Tennessee	Help for Roy.
19. CHARGERS	ERIC WINSTON, T, Miami	OL picks are never a bad idea
20. CHIEFS	ANTONIO CROMARTIE, CB, FSU	Maybe with Herm there, they’ll finally build a D.
21. PATRIOTS	TYE HILL, CB, Clemson	Patriots always seem hurt in the secondary.
22. 49ERS	MANNY LAWSON,  DE, NCst	My gut says they will get one on offense and one on defense in the first round. If they get Davis, then they’ll go best available defender. Lawson could be that. They also could go for S Whitmore from OSU, or if one of the WR (Holmes or Jackson) are on the board, they could go weapons for Smith.
23. BUCCANEERS	MARCUS MCNEIL, T, Auburn	Young Rb and QB, better work the OL.
24. BENGALS	MATHIAS KIWANNUKA, DE, BC	Cincy is a defense away from wining a Super Bowl
25. GIANTS	TAMI HALI, DE, PSU	Giants love defense.
26. BEARS	CHAD JACKSON, WR, Florida	Bears need playmakers.
27. PANTHERS	DEANGELO WILLIAMS, RB, Memphis	Now for a run on RBs to end the first round.
28. JAGUARS	KAMERION WIMBLEY, DE, FSU	Got to rush Peyton twice a year.
29. JETS	DONTE WHITNER, S, OSU	Young d coach builds the D.
30. COLTS	LAWRENCE MORONEY, RB, Minnesota	The new Edge.
31. SEAHAWKS	DAVIN JOSEPH, G, Oklahoma	Got to replace Steve Hutchinson
32. STEELERS	LENDALE WHITE, RB, USC	Fits the Steeler offense perfectly.
