Uninspired
Well, the bye week is over and as I think
about things to rant about, I must admit to being fairly uninspired.
There is of course the obvious positive. It was a great weekend because
the Niners were undefeated. Not watching them get blown out was a
definite plus this weekend. And for all you naysayers, yes we did beat
the spread against the bye.
I could rant against
the obvious. The Niners suck again. York is a dildo head. Where is the
new stadium announcement we were promised? Nolan is off to a tough
start. The Winborn trade looks goes from bad to worse with each new
injury to the linebacking core. The D is beat up. Barlow sucks. The OL
is a joke.
But bottom line is
that with a week off, I am just enjoying being unmotivated. There was
no game to blast. No game to digest. It was a day to concentrate on the
rest of the NFL and just for one weekend turn our attention away from
just how bad things are in the City by the Bay.
And as we recover from the sweet success of the bye, we look forward to
what could be a brutal couple of games. We open at Washington. A team
that has played very well so far. A team with a good defense. A team
that took two good teams in the AFC to the bitter end on the road. A
team that will be hungry. And of course we play them on the road, where
the Niners have been atrocious. After that drubbing we return home to
host Tampa Bay. Another solid defense and a team that looks like will
challenge in the NFC this year. And against all this we take a rookie
quarterback and a broken defense. It will be a tough few weeks.
So with that, I remain unmotivated and uninspired. I will take our
undefeated weekend and enjoy it while it lasts!
