Tough loss
That was a tough one. If it is not bad enough to blow a
two TD lead in the second half, having it happen against the Cowboys is
just brutal. This to me feels like the official start of what will be a
long and painful season that may feel earily similar to last years
pungent season.
This loss goes squarely on the defense. Coming into the season we all
seemed to think that our D would be the strong point of the team. A
decent DL, very good LBs, a questionable secondary and a coach with a
great defensive mind. Our D would be strong enough to keep us in the
games and if our offense ever showed up, we would actually win some
games. No more! Until further notice, our defense sucks! Look, against
the Rams we made excuses that they were out there the whole game. They
were worn out. Against Philly we just said it was a bad game against a
good team. What do we say now? Our offense put up 31 against a decent
Dallas defense. There is no excuse for allowing that offense, namely
Drew Bledsoe, to look like the second coming of Dan Marino. How about
mixing in a blitz of five? My 5-year old nephew knows that the way to
beat Bledsoe is knock him on his ass a couple of times early and he is
done! The Niners hardly touched him and certainly never got a good hit
on him. So there we are again, putting together another great second
quarter only to have a "tired" defense in the end that could not stop
the greatness of Bledsoe, KJ and Terry Glenn. Come on!
That is a bad loss. The coaches take some fault here too for bad game
planning. And enough of the excuses. I am not saying this D can not
come back. And against Arizona they better. But until I see this
defense play a solid 60 minutes, then I say they deserve their number
32 ranking. The strength of this team may just be the cheerleaders
afterall.
On offense, there were some positives. But again there were NO clutch
players. Rattay's interceptions in the 4th quarter are
mind-boggling. He continues to prove he is not a prime time player. I
dont care how good you are in the first three quarters, winners show up
in the 4th quarter. Just ask Tom Brady!
I don't care if we were 2-14 or
14-2 last year. This loss is completely unacceptable!!!! The players
need to quit making excuses and get better or get out. The coaches need
to get over their rookie jitters. After the game, Nolan said there
would be some changes this week. Well, let me suggest that the first
person that should cut is John York! Then you can cut the rest of the
damn York family! We'll win some games this year but we wont return to
greatness until we fucking DUMP YORK!!!!!
