A letter to Denise
Dear Denise,
Happy Holidays
Denise. I really hope you take some time over these next couple of
weeks to do some serious soul searching. Look deep inside you and think
about what you need to be happy. Us folk out here in Ninerland know
what we need to make us happy. I think you too know the answer. Denise,
it is time to pull the plug, sell the team!
I am sure that
your husband is a nice guy. But he has no business running a football
team. He has built a public relations disaster, turned a once proud
franchise into a laughing stock, and has taken all hope from fans
during a time of season that is built around hope and trust. It is time
for him to move on and you are the only person that can make him see
the light.
I hold your maiden
name in the highest regard. As for your married name, not so much. But
I hear that you are proud of your family. Well, let me just say if you
want the York name to be mentioned in any regard at all, there is just
one way to do it. Sell the team!
Denise, you should
know that we at Dumpyork.com do not look at this mission as a few week
assignment during a rotten season. Our frustrations run deep and a mere
off season will not make them go away. We know it may take years for
the good Doctor to see the light. We will be around for as long as it
takes to return the 49ers franchise back to greatness. You see our
desires are simple. We want greatness! Your desires are to make money
off a football team. I am sure I am not the first person to point this
out, but think of all the $$$$ you can make by selling the team today.
Tomorrow, it might be too late the way things are going.
So maybe you have
opened up the purse just a bit. Terry Donahue is talking about
selecting the number one pick overall. That is great and there will be
skeptics that still say your organization won't want to pay the number
one pick. My concern is not that you will pick the number one pick, but
who will NOT get paid because you are forced to pay the top college
athlete? Are we stuck with Erickson and Donahue because you can not
afford to pay for your mistakes? Will the team suffer further because
you think just picking the number one player is a PR win and will get
us off your back?
Look Denise, I
know you want revenge on your brother, but please stop hurting the
innocent fans as you take down Eddie's most cherished joy. We are the
ones who are getting hurt! It is time for that to stop.
Denise, in this
season that should be filled with Holiday joy, I beg of you, please
sell the team. No good can come of the York ownership group. Your
mistakes have been spread far and wide and it could take years to
recover even if you tried. I know you love your husband and the
simplest way for you to save him from the embarrassments he faces, is
to pull the plug! Denise, you could be the savior. Pull the plug! Sell
the team! Think of the Christmas joy you will share with thousands. Can
you come up with a better gift? One that gives you hundreds of millions
of dollars and makes everyone else so happy? Pull the Plug, Denise,
SELL THE TEAM!
